QUT Creative Writing and Literary Studies, in association with the Brisbane Writers’ Festival, is excited to bring you a free public lecture by Jostein Gaarder next Thursday evening.
Jostein is a Norwegian philosopher and author. His best known work is the novel Sophie’s World, (subtitled A Novel about the History of Philosophy). This novel has been translated into fifty-three languages and has over thirty million copies in print. Jostein’s latest novel, The Castle in the Pyrenees, is about love and ideas.

Jostein will be in conversation with QUT’s Craig Bolland talking about writing, his creative process, and posing the question, ‘Where does philosophy fit in daily life?’ There will be plenty of time for questions and audience interaction.
You are welcome to invite family and friends to attend this unique opportunity to get inside the mind of one of the world’s most popular writers.
